The Mitzvah Photographry Countdown!  As your child enters the world of the adult, you will be overflowing with some of the most extraordinary emotions of your life. But there’s so much to do, such a flurry of preparation and activities! When you find a photographer to capture your meaningful Mitzvah moments, what should you expect? Here’s what to look forward to when you decide to work with Richard D. Adelberg:A few months prior to the Mitzvah: Richard likes to meet with you and your family a few months before the event, so that you all can get to know each other. At this time, Richard will take some test shots in the studio, to learn how to best photograph your young adult and family, and get a sense of your preferred style and tastes. You should also discuss your schedule for the big day, and determine which people and particular moments are most important to be included in your Mitzvah album. This is a great time for the families and Richard to begin to get to know each other and become comfortable with each other: after all, a fun, enjoyable environment makes for great Mitzvah photography!

The week before  the Mitzvah: A week before the Mitzvah we  start taking  variety of portraits. Portrait time is important, because here, we can alter the lighting and environment to get distinctly different photographs from those taken at the Temple.  Richard can set up a studio environment either in the temple, at your home or in the studio. After about an hour of portraits, we’ll all go to the Temple. Here, Richard will use the natural lighting of the environmnet and unique lighting effects to create different and interesting images of the religious experience.

After the Mitzvah Ceremony: After the Mitzvah ceremony, you’ll want to preserve your candid reception and family group pictures images. With over three decades of experience, you can rest assured that Richard will be in a position to capture the most important people at the reception, as well as at the party itself. It’s time to enjoy the party, knowing that you’ll also enjoy a great album of Mitzvah memories that will last a lifetime!
